Educational Visit
Discover Islam – Educational Visits & School Assemblies
Inspiring minds. Building understanding. Welcoming all.
We warmly welcome schools, colleges and community groups to the Maidstone Mosque for our Discover Islam educational sessions – an inspiring opportunity to learn about the faith, culture and values of Muslims in an open and engaging setting.
Each visit includes a guided tour of the mosque, a talk and Q&A session led by our experienced presenters, and time for students to explore the mosque’s architecture and purpose. We also offer school assemblies that bring this experience directly to you – helping pupils understand what Muslims believe, how we worship, and how Islam promotes kindness, respect and unity among all people.
Every year, we host welcome 100 local engagements reaching nearly 3,000 pupils in our local community. These visits foster mutual understanding and help young people appreciate the richness of our multicultural society by allowing them to experience a place of worship first-hand.
We believe that seeing, hearing, and asking questions in person makes all the difference – helping to break down barriers, build respect and encourage open-mindedness from an early age.
Book a mosque visit or request a school assembly today and let your pupils discover how shared values can bring communities together.
