Nikah

We are honoured that you are considering Maidstone Islamic Centre (MIC) to be part of your special day. If you would like one of our Imams to conduct your nikah—either at MIC or at an external venue—please complete the booking form linked below.

Before submitting the form, we kindly ask that you read through the relevant Terms & Conditions. There are two sets: one for ceremonies held at the masjid and another for those at an external venue. A short pre-nikah meeting with the Imam will also be arranged as part of the process.

Nikah at MIC

The ceremony will take place in a simple, respectful setting. Please note that decorations such as flowers or balloons are not provided.

We offer two options for nikah ceremonies at the masjid:

• Simple Nikah (no guests, no certificate): This is a brief ceremony with only the couple and witnesses present. There is no set fee, and we welcome any donation you wish to make in support of the masjid.

• Nikah with Guests (certificate provided): For ceremonies with guests in attendance and an official certificate issued, a fee of £250 applies. Payment will be required at the time of your meeting with the Imam, and will be handled manually.

We understand families may wish to capture special moments. Discreet photography during the ceremony is welcomed; however, we kindly ask that it remains simple and respectful. Large or staged photoshoots, extensive equipment, and prolonged or mixed-group posing should be avoided to help maintain the mosque environment.

To ensure a smooth experience, please arrive on time and adhere to the agreed start time. You are welcome to provide water and light refreshments, such as dates or chocolates, after the nikah. All attendees are kindly asked to dress modestly and appropriately, in line with the masjid’s environment.

Nikah at an External Venue

The fee for external venues is £250 for Kent and surrounding areas. Payment will be required at the time of your meeting with the Imam, and will be handled manually.

Please aim for punctuality, as timely ceremonies help everyone involved. As always, the atmosphere should reflect the Islamic spirit of the occasion.
